I'm in Dallas to speak at NANOG, and when I asked people what there was to do in Dallas, the only real consistent answer I got was "go to the grassy knoll".
( So I did. )
If you haven't seen it already, there's a stabilized version of the Zapruder film that is actually kind of watchable. [warning - graphic violence and actual death of an actual president]
Dallas is an odd city - it has wide roads and more parking lots than it needs. This is bizarre to me. Also, on the weekends there is nobody on the roads. If you needed to film a zombie movie, I recommend the heck out of Dallas: wide roads, desolate, and the weather is pretty predictable. For non-zombie purposes, I think I'd prefer almost anywhere else.
