Our piano is very old.
Nov. 22nd, 2005 03:58 pmThe Eugene piano guy is here fixing our piano. As Tracy said, it's like a John Cage symphony, but in the end we get a working piano instead of a lost feeling. Apparently the manufacturers and people who did serious work on a piano used to sign the first key (lowest bass note). Our piano needed a lot of love - it was last regulated at purchase time...
The signature of the main man - found on the first key of our piano. Heintzman himself had some sort of hand in its production!
This piano was last regulated by Joe(?) Churchill in 1884 and has serial # 2561
