Presenting...
Feb. 8th, 2005 06:38 pmI just gave a presentation on my research at the Graduate Research Forum in the CS department. After a lonely start, it ended up being relatively well attended. To make the presentation, I used the S5 system, which was totally easy and fun, and I did a few other things that I highly recommend:
- White text on a black background - shows up better in bright rooms, so you don't have to turn off the lights!
- Not mirroring the presentation on my laptop - means that I can't read my slides without turning around, which forces me to move around and be a more active speaker
- Did I mention S5? It's really nice, especially if you are used to writing a lot of HTML...
The presentation went well, and you can check it out if you are interested in the progress of my work on understanding the dynamics of large sparse graphs (especially the internet). But really, this should serve as one big advertisement for S5. It was really great.
